Black horse

Our main accommodation is conveniently located at the Black Horse Centre, has stylish, well-appointed en-suite accommodation. Colourful and contemporary, the feature of each room is a large format image of Cape flowers, whilst the windows frame the gorgeous backdrop of the Stellenbosch mountains beyond. The Black Horse Accommodation is the perfect base for athletes who wants to be close to the sports facilities and close to the town center. Location The Black horse is located only 30 min drive from Cape Town International Airport. Just a 5 minutes walk from center of Stellenbosch and 20 minutes drive from the nearest beach. Centre facilities on your doorstep, restaurants , coffee shops, shops, car rentals and a travel agency. Off-site Gym, pool, sport fields, athletic track within walking distance Our partner BMT bike shop is next to the complex. We start most of our training sessions from this location.

Triathlon camps week program

Friday Pick up from airport and check-in + setting up rental bike Early afternoon easy ride Open water swim + night market
Saturday Morning ride (2-3 hours) Recovery swim (optional) Late afternoon trail run (60 minutes)
Sunday Transfer to Cape Town, long ride (3-4 hours) + brick run (5 km) Off to discover Cape Town (visit Table mountain, Waterfront, Camps Bay?) Athletes can stay the day in Cape Town, while we take your bikes back.
Monday Morning long run (60-90  minutes) Coached swim session Massage
Tuesday Morning ride (3-4 hours) Recovery swim (optional) Late afternoon recovery run (10 km) or MTB ride (bike rent not included), dinner at Boschendal wine farm.
Wednesday Bike session ( hill repeats) Recovery run Mountain bike ride (optional)
Thursday 3YO Triathlon – 1km swim, 43km bike (3 laps), 8km run (2 laps) Safari game drive + wine tasting
Friday Check out + Airport transfers
