Personalised Training Camp Day 1:

Shake out the travel legs with an easy recovery run in Jonkershoek nature reserve with Marie-Claude from Angola in prep for half
Ironman Portugal

Personalised Training Camp Day 2:

Bike fitting with Guy Smith from BMT Bike Marathon Triathlon followed by a skills training session and exploring the stunning surrounding of Stellenbosch; cooled down with a recovery swim

Personalised Training Camp Day 3:

Rise and shine early morning track session; awesome one-on-one strength & conditioning session with personal trainer Brenna Coupland; ending with a bit of swim stroke analysis & correction

Personalised Training Camp Day 4:

Long ride to Franschoek & brick run; chat about all things nutrition followed by much needed sport massage with Nicol Eksteen from EPT recovery @matiesgym

Personalised Training Camp Day 5:

Killer bike hill repeats (small encounter with Cape Cobra – eeek); taking a dip and ticking off 100s repeats in @matiesgym 50m state of the art pool; followed by Amoija Events trail run at Boschendal washed down with some vino and a hearty burger

Personalised Training Camp Day 6:

Beautiful ride exploring more of Stellenbosch surroundings; recovery ice-bath with complementary hot bath (the whole of the gym could hear our cries of “joy”) and another massage from Nicol Eksteen (because he is that good) ending the day in a high with a glorious open water swim

Personalised Training Camp Day 7:

Ending the week with a easy recovery “bergpad” (mountain path) run but it’s not all hard work we had time for fun with wine tasting at Postcard Cafe followed by chocolate tasting, ice cream tasting and more at the Spice Route Paarl
