3YO luxury package come with the privileged access to the entire Boschendal Wine estate farm, guests staying in the cottages will be able to savour the best of farm living. Apart from swim, bike and run under Africa’s glorious sun guest with family or partner can further join the farm’s history tours, explore the estate on foot following trails taking you through orchards and mountain fynbos, stopping off to pick pears, plums and citrus fruits depending on the season. There are mountain biking trails, walking trails, caves to explore, wine tasting and cellar tours, trout fishing, plenty of open water swimming in the dams and some of Western Cape’s best road cycling routes starts on the door step of the wine estate – and then there plenty of opportunity for rest and recover and generally take in the goodness of life.

Dining options include eating at the Werf Restaurant, Farm Shop & Deli, Rhone Homestead or picnic area; having breakfast, lunch or dinner baskets brought to your cottage; or picking up some fresh farm produce at the deli and preparing it at the cottage. All cottages have a full kitchen or kitchenette in the smaller cottages, and are serviced daily. It ideal for athletes or groups of athletes with friends or families looking to combine a luxurious training holiday with plenty of activities for partners or kids all round.

Clarence Cottage

Clarence Cottage is a newly renovated cottage within walking distance of the historic werf where the Boschendal restaurant and Deli are also located.
With subtle styling, a generous living area and a big private garden this cottage is an ideal base from which to explore Boschendal and combine a training holiday in the Cape wine lands.
The cottage has a large kitchen, fireplace, a porch running the length of the house and sleeps 4 people.

RHODES COTTAGE

This historic cottage, built by renowned architect, Sir Herbert Baker, has been redecorated to give guests a chance to experience a piece of South African history and walk in the footsteps of Cecil John Rhodes.
Set under the imposing outline of the Simonsberg mountain, the cottage has magnificent views over the Boschendal Estate and the valley. The cottage is about 2 km from the main Werf. A large verandah, outside dining under the oaks and an eco friendly swimming pool add to the relaxed feel of the property, which is a South African National Heritage Site. The cottage is a stone throw away from one of our favourite open water swim on the Boschendal farm.

Sleeps up to 6 people in the cottage and 4 people in the garden annex.

Orchard Cottages

The Orchard Cottages is a collection of luxury cottages with kitchenettes, outdoor dining areas for braais, a large shared swimming pool and a magnificent setting among the Boschendal orchards.

The cottages are about 2 km from the main werf. A short drive or cycle through the pastures and fruit orchards brings guests to these stylishly converted labourers’ houses.
The feeling of the cottages is one of stylish simplicity with a rural yet contemporary character. The atmosphere is carefree and relaxed making the cottages ideal for athletes with families or groups of friends.

This is wonderful playground to sport enthusiast from triathletes, cyclist, trial runners to mountain bikers or hikers, all on your doorstep. There are plenty farm paths to explore on foot or by 2 wheels, mountain side trails and single track for trail runners or mountain bikers alike, open water swims on farm dams great way for triathletes to get away from the black line of the pool, epic cycling routes a stone throw away from the farm and then also the all important relax and recover and generally take in the goodness of life.

THE WERF COTTAGES

Situated behind and adjacent to the historic werf of Boschendal with ravishing views of the surrounding countryside and mountains, these subtly restored and furnished farm cottages create a virtual village in the Cape-picturesque manner in an idyllic setting.
This is the unspoilt Cape as Arthur Elliott photographed it. Only an hour’s drive from Cape Town, they are ideal for athlete training getway mixed in wineland’s weekend with a twist. Each cottage has its own fireplace and small kitchen, while the Boschendal restaurant and Deli are within walking distance. The manor house, garden, farm, estate and mountains are all there for you to enjoy and swim bike run under the African sun.
