3YO offer’s the Heritage tri camp like no other. The unique luxury camp forms part of Amoija’s Heritage trail quest weekend at Boschendal. The camp will enjoy the festive spirit of the race village; with accommodation options either “budget” tent or splash out on a beautiful luxury cottage. Our offer includes mouth-watering organic meals prepared by Boschendal.

This camp is ideal to kickstart triathletes new season after hibernating winter months. It for all level athletes including beginners with option of shorter swim, bike and runs. It promise to be an unforgettable triathlon training camp whilst you swim bike run under the African sun.

Day 1 – Friday

  • 14:00 Check-in Boschendal
  • 16:00 Trail run (+/- 8 km)
  • 18:00 Open water swim in private dam

Day 1 – Notes
Starting with an exciting 8 – 10km Trail quest prologue on Friday afternoon 22 September. Followed by an exclusive open water swim, with the sun setting behind the mighty Simonsberg. It due to set the tone for thrilling weekend ahead.
Average water temperature is estimated a cool 16 degrees so wetsuits are compulsory if the athlete expects to swim two loops of 1.2km dam, else for non-wetsuit swimmers you will be limited to 400m swim

Day 2 – Saturday

  • 6:30 Breakfast
  • 8:00 Long group ride with support van
  • 12:30 Brick run (immediately after the bike ride)
  • 13:30 Lunch
  • 15:00 Optional transition practice for newbie triathletes
  • 15:30 Optional basic maintenance skills
  • 17:00 Recovery open water swim
  • 19:00 Dinner
  • Theme party

Day 2 – Notes
Day two will start with a scenic 4 hour wine-lands ride followed by short brick run with back-up van including nutrition and spares. After lunch there will be optional transition practice including basic maintenance skills for newbie triathletes. Late afternoon it will be difficult to resist a recovery open water swims to be enjoyed by triathletes and trail runners to smooth out some achy muscles from hard but fun yards off the day. Evening festivities with give athletes a chance to let down their hair with themed party complete with a bond fire.
3YO are able to facilitate bike hire for those clients who prefer not to bring their own bikes. A support vehicle and driver will be provided for all rides. Our partner, BMT can also facilitate any services and repairs.
All rides will have: additional drinks, a spare bike, a first aid kit, puncture equipment

Day 3 – Notes
Day three triathletes will join in the relaxed final trail run stage with only 18- 20km, taking runners through the beautiful single track and views that Boschendal has to offer.Triathlete partaking in the final stage race will not be eligible for price categories of the Heritage trail quest, although fun spot prices will be up for grabs.
